English Learning Support at Degree Level

ENGL 1101 with ENGL 0999, unless exempted through one of the following exemptions:

• Academic High School GPA >= 3.0
• SAT Verbal (S01) >= 430  (institutional or national version)
• SAT evidence-Based Reading and Writing (S11) >= 480
• ACT English >= 17 (institutional or national)
• Accuplacer Reading >= 61 AND Write Placer >= 6
• Accuplacer Reading >= 70 AND Write Placer >= 5
• Accuplacer Reading >= 80 AND Write Placer >= 4
• ACCUP Next Gen. Read. Comp. 237 – 247 & ACCUP WritePlacer 5+
• ACCUP Next Gen. Read. Comp. 248 or higher & ACCUP WritePlacer 4+

*Acceptable courses to take with ENGL 0999 include: BUSA 2106, COMM 1110, COMM 1100, ARTS 1100, MATH, MUSC 1100, MUSC 1120, PRSP, SPAN 1001, THEA 1100, BIOL 1105k, BIOL 1203k, BIOL 1124k, GEOL and POLS 1101.
