Note: Students must complete EDUC 2110, EDUC 2120, and EDUC 2130 in their Sophomore year to stay on target to begin the 3000 level education blocks at the beginning of their Junior year. Otherwise, entry into the upper division Education courses will be delayed for one academic year.

Applications for Fall entrance into the Teacher Education Program are due by March 30th.
Prior to enrollment in PES 1 of the Secondary History Education Program, students must complete HIST 3000 and one additional 3 credit hour (3000-level) history course with grades of C or better; register and pay for, take, and pass the GACE Basic Skills exams I, II, and III (www.gace.nesinc.com); fill out a the required Application to the Secondary History Education Program and be accepted into the program before they are considered Secondary History Education majors.
Upon completion of the Secondary History Education Program, in order to become certified to teach, the student must register for, take, and pass the GACE History Exam; this exam may be taken either prior to or after graduation. (www.gace.nesinc.com)
