Educational Learning Theories: Chapter 12 Learning Enrichment Activities

Activity 1: Sensory, Short-Term (Working), and Long-Term Memory Table Widget. For each type of memory there are columns for Characteristics, Representation, Capacity, Duration and Cause of Forgetting. Click your mouse in each of the 3 types of memories to see information. Once you have clicked on each of the 3 types of memories and viewed the corresponding information you can move on to activity 2.

Activity 2: Drag and Drop: Sensory, Short-Term (Working), and Long-Term Memory Table Widget. In this activity the 3 types of memories are given with 6 examples below. Click and drag each of the examples up to the correct type of memory. When you are finished click the "Submit" button in the lower right part of the activity to see if you got all answers correct. You can refresh your browser and try again if you didn't get all the answers correct. Once you have all correct answers you can move on the activity 3.

Activity 3: Interactive List with Information Processing Examples. Click on each "See Example" button in each row to see examples about Sensory, Short-Term (Working), and Long-Term Memory implications. Each "See Example" button is labeled and is located on the left side. When you click on the button you should see text appear to the right with the complete example. There are 10 examples to view and you may have to scroll down to see all examples. This is the last activity for chapter 12.
