Ways to Identify Top Competitors

In addition to using websites such as MSN Money or Reuters, you can also determine a company's competitors by searching the business databases in GALILEO.  

There are database tutorials that demonstrate how to determine the competitors, find SWOT analysis and company financials, and much more.

MSN Money

Search the MSN Money website for your company.  Across the top of the screen, you will see a tab "Related". These are the stock symbols for your company's major competitors.  Simply click on any symbol to retrieve financials, etc. for that competitor. 

Reuters

Search Reuters website for your company.  Scroll down the page and on the right side of the screen, you should see a listing of competitors.
