Create or check your course using the Dalton State QM Rubric (See Attachment on the right side of this page).
Develop a strong teaching presence in your course
Post a “Welcome to the Course!” announcement that is enthusiastic and motivating
Be first whenever possible - you set the tone for the students
Respond to all student queries, etc., within 24 hours
Be certain feedback is detailed and positive in tone
Respond to all—or nearly all—student discussion postings.
Post frequently asked questions in your course
Give frequent assessments
Give frequent, timely and positive feedback
Use the Discussion Board and set clear guidelines
Familiarize yourself with all the tools for quizzes
Help your personality come alive with audio and/or audiovisual.
