DSC Policy

Plagiarism is prohibited. Themes, essays, term papers, tests, and other
similar requirements must be the original work of the student and should
not have been previously submitted elsewhere. When direct quotations are

in the paper, they must be appropriately acknowledged.

What is APA Style?

APA Style consists of guidelines published within the 6th edition of The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association.

          These guidelines cover:

          *format of scholarly manuscripts

           * grammar and punctuation

           *graphic elements (such as charts and graphs)

           *rules for citing sources

At Dalton State, instructors in the Department of Social Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Social Work, and School of Business Administration may require students to use the APA style for various types of assignments.

 To learn more about APA style, go to the APA Research Guide.

Copies of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association are available at the Reference desk.
