IRP is a center for interdisciplinary research into the causes and consequences of poverty and social inequality in the United States.

Use the Demographics Wizard to create custom tables of national- and state-level statistics about low-income or poor children. The Policy Wizard creates custom tables with information about state and federal policies that assist low-income families and children. The Family Resource Simulator shows the impact of federal and state "work support" benefits on the budgets of low- to moderate-income families.

The National Low Income Housing Coalition is dedicated solely to achieving socially just public policy that assures people with the lowest incomes in the United States have affordable and decent homes.
