Structuring your research question can be guided by the PICO(T) format, in which you break down what you want to know by using information about the patient, the intervention, the comparison ("no intervention" is a valid option here), and the outcome. You may opt to add another consideration, which is time.
A PICO(T) formatted question might be "Among adult females who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, does Omega-3 supplementation improve overall patient ratings of mood?"
