As part of the “Career Planning Resource Platform” initiative of the University System of Georgia, all faculty, staff, and students at Dalton State College have access to an exciting new Career Planning Resource Platform called Steppingblocks.
Steppingblocks puts post-graduation outcomes data directly into the hands of students. This data helps students make data-informed decisions about their future career, including career pathways, needed skills, and salary information. I know that you have a profound impact on the resources and tools students use. If a trusted faculty member tells a student that planning for their future career is important, the student will heed their advice. In fact, institutions that encourage faculty to share this resource with students see significantly higher engagement than those who do not.
