Films on Demand (available in GALILEO) consists of 15,500 video titles (77,000 segments) in Humanities & Social Sciences, Business & Economics, Health, and Science. Also included is the new collection of United Newsreels which includes an additional 260 titles (1,250 segments). The majority of the titles available are closed captioned.
Adding Closed Captioning to YouTube videos:
Subtitles and closed captions open up your content to a larger audience, including deaf or hard of hearing viewers or those who speak languages besides the one spoken in your video. You can add captions by following these instructions:
Note: If you’re in YouTube Studio, click Creator Studio Classic in the left menu to follow these steps.
Go to your Video Manager by clicking your account in the top right > Creator Studio > Video Manager > Videos.
Next to the video you want to add captions or subtitles to, click the drop-down menu next to the Edit button.
Click the Add new subtitles or CC button.
Choose how you want to add or edit subtitles or closed captions to your video:
